Futons from Comfy Living are exclusively manufactured here in the UK.
Every futon set that we sell is constructed from quality materials, from pressure treated pine timber for the wood base, to the construction of the futon mattress.Futon mattresses from Comfy Living are stuffed with 4 layers of natural fillings including felt and wool. Futon mattresses from alternative sources could be filled with pieces of foam which lose their shape and support. Every Comfy Living futon mattress is a fixed cover design, with 4 layers of fillings, twisted and packed for maximum life expectancy.
Standard futon mattresses are 9cm thick, and are approximately 10kg in weight - that's a heavy mattress. Customers ask us whether the mattress can be rolled to store away, to which we advise the mattress may be too thick to roll, but the mattress can be triple folded and stored.
Luxury futon mattresses use the same natural fillings, however the depth is 14cm thick. These super luxury mattresses weigh in about 15kg and will easily last a number of years of use, whether as a sofa bed, or as an occasional bed for when guests sleepover.
The futon covers are 100% cotton drill, which enables the material to be dyed in a range of colours to suit every living space. There are a wide variety of colours including the popular Chocolate and Cream reversible futon mattress which is available as the 9cm standard and also the 14cm luxury.

Metal futons offer a extra sturdy frame seating you higher off the floor, the futon base is tubular aluminium supplied ready assembled, all you have to do is attach the legs. With the Kingston Metal Futon frame there is an extra supportive leg in the centre. See the video below.

August Bank Holiday 2011 Delivery Info
Be prepared for guests this August Bank Holiday
When preparing for visiting guests it’s always an exciting experience, in anticipation there’s always the busy time of cleaning and preparing a spare room or a comfortable place to sleep. Bank Holiday delivery times should also be at the forefront of the mind, as delivery days and times are affected by the short working week.
The 2011 August Bank Holiday is Monday 29th, so to take delivery of an item ordered online it is strongly recommended to order the previous week well in advance should a delivery issue arise. Over Bank Holidays the road system in the UK is always put to the test as holidaymakers start to travel to their chosen destinations.
In terms of the choice of sleeping solutions for guests, Comfy Living has some recommendations to match to your needs and requirements.
Chair Beds
Chair beds are constructed from a firm foam-like filling and are best suited to children up to the age of around 10 years old. These are often called ‘Z beds’ or ‘flop out beds’ due to the simple nature of construction and children are easily able to use these in their bedrooms.
Futons
For small rooms where space saving is paramount and to accommodate guests would be a struggle with buying a spare bed, consider buying a futon to help with holiday sleepovers. Futons are versatile items of furniture, quickly changing from a sofa to a bed within seconds. Futons are available with a metal or a wooden frame and are suitable for adults of all ages.
Divan beds
Divans are a seen as a permanent addition to a spare room. Budget divans have no storage in the base and come with a mattress suitable for occasional use. Options with upgrading divan beds include storage options (drawers or slide storage) with a mattress which is deeper than a budget range, perhaps to a hand tufted variety, or memory foam.

Comfy Living has released order times for the forthcoming August Bank Holiday and would like to inform all customers of the following dates and order cut off times:
• For delivery Friday 26th August order online by 3pm Thursday 25th August.
• Orders taken after 3pm on Thursday 25th August and by 12 noon on Friday 27th August will be delivered on Tuesday 30th August.
• Orders taken after 12 noon on Friday 27th August will be delivered on Wednesday 31st August.
Comfy Living telephone support will be up to 2pm on Friday 27th August, after which time the telephone lines will re-open on Tuesday 30th August.
Over weekends and Bank Holidays there is no telephone support as the office is closed at these times.
