Pink futons - new product March 2012

Futons Double Single Wood or Metal Frame FREE DELIVERY

Futons from Comfy Living

Futons from Comfy Living are exclusively manufactured here in the UK.

Every futon set that we sell is constructed from quality materials, from pressure treated pine timber for the wood base, to the construction of the futon mattress.

Futon mattresses from Comfy Living are stuffed with 4 layers of natural fillings including felt and wool. Futon mattresses from alternative sources could be filled with pieces of foam which lose their shape and support. Every Comfy Living futon mattress is a fixed cover design, with 4 layers of fillings, twisted and packed for maximum life expectancy.

Standard futon mattresses are 9cm thick, and are approximately 10kg in weight - that's a heavy mattress. Customers ask us whether the mattress can be rolled to store away, to which we advise the mattress may be too thick to roll, but the mattress can be triple folded and stored.

Luxury futon mattresses use the same natural fillings, however the depth is 14cm thick. These super luxury mattresses weigh in about 15kg and will easily last a number of years of use, whether as a sofa bed, or as an occasional bed for when guests sleepover.

The futon covers are 100% cotton drill, which enables the material to be dyed in a range of colours to suit every living space. There are a wide variety of colours including the popular Chocolate and Cream reversible futon mattress which is available as the 9cm standard and also the 14cm luxury.

August Bank Holiday 2011 Delivery Info

Be prepared for guests this August Bank Holiday

When preparing for visiting guests it’s always an exciting experience, in anticipation there’s always the busy time of cleaning and preparing a spare room or a comfortable place to sleep. Bank Holiday delivery times should also be at the forefront of the mind, as delivery days and times are affected by the short working week.

The 2011 August Bank Holiday is Monday 29th, so to take delivery of an item ordered online it is strongly recommended to order the previous week well in advance should a delivery issue arise. Over Bank Holidays the road system in the UK is always put to the test as holidaymakers start to travel to their chosen destinations.

In terms of the choice of sleeping solutions for guests, Comfy Living has some recommendations to match to your needs and requirements.

Chair Beds

Chair beds are constructed from a firm foam-like filling and are best suited to children up to the age of around 10 years old. These are often called ‘Z beds’ or ‘flop out beds’ due to the simple nature of construction and children are easily able to use these in their bedrooms.

Futons

For small rooms where space saving is paramount and to accommodate guests would be a struggle with buying a spare bed, consider buying a futon to help with holiday sleepovers. Futons are versatile items of furniture, quickly changing from a sofa to a bed within seconds. Futons are available with a metal or a wooden frame and are suitable for adults of all ages.

Divan beds

Divans are a seen as a permanent addition to a spare room. Budget divans have no storage in the base and come with a mattress suitable for occasional use. Options with upgrading divan beds include storage options (drawers or slide storage) with a mattress which is deeper than a budget range, perhaps to a hand tufted variety, or memory foam.

Delivery recommendations

Comfy Living has released order times for the forthcoming August Bank Holiday and would like to inform all customers of the following dates and order cut off times:

• For delivery Friday 26th August order online by 3pm Thursday 25th August.

• Orders taken after 3pm on Thursday 25th August and by 12 noon on Friday 27th August will be delivered on Tuesday 30th August.

• Orders taken after 12 noon on Friday 27th August will be delivered on Wednesday 31st August.

Comfy Living telephone support will be up to 2pm on Friday 27th August, after which time the telephone lines will re-open on Tuesday 30th August.

Cabin beds, bunk beds and trundle guest beds from Comfy Living

Ahoy there, mate! If you're looking for a way to help eradicate some of the inevitable clutter found in every child's bedroom, start at http://www.comfy-living.co.uk/

The perfect solution for that small bedroom with too many toys, books and other indications of youth is a captain's bed. These versatile beds get their name because they are like the beds built into ship's cabins, with drawers underneath for storage.

Some of them even have a trundle bed, instead of a draw for storage, giving you two beds that fit in the space occupied by just one! How's that for making more space in your child's room?

The Wendy cabin bed is a solid frame made from sturdy pine with a handy roll out desk.  The bed also features a blue tent and adjustable ladder.  The Wendy can be used for storing items underneath if preferred. The bed frame has supporting side rails with a natural finish. Creative thinking went into coming up with this bed that has a contemporary look and feel, with storage at the forefront of design.

When purchasing a captains bed, you occasionally might need to hunt around a bit for a properly sized mattress, even though many of the newer ones are sized to accommodate regular twin or full mattresses. Also, traditional bedding is a bit of a problem, but there are great bedding sets designed just for your captain's bed, ensuring that you get style as well as extra storage with your purchase.

Comfy Living also sell every mattress to suit every bed for sale on the website, so rest assured you can buy your bed and mattress together for delivery, plus you get a 10% discount if you buy both together, and free UK delivery.

Orthopaedic Mattresses now on sale from Comfy Living

Comfy Living announce their new range of orthopaedic mattresses that is only available to buy from their website. Exclusivity and quality guaranteed.

Where good health is paramount, often the price of an item associated with well being is more expensive than what is considered a regular item. When looking to buy a new orthopaedic mattress, the range of mattresses available on the high street regularly carry a premium price tag.

Following a customer survey, Comfy Living asked their direct supplier in the UK to test manufacture some samples of an orthopaedic mattress with a firm support, and to provide cost prices. Suprisingly, the actual cost of manufacturing didn't seem to weigh up with the selling price of orthopaedic mattresses by national brands, the difference between the estimated manufacturing costs and the selling price was hundreds of pounds - a very large profit margin indeed.

Marketing Manager, Nina Greaves said: "I visited multiple stores in person as well as carrying out extensive online research and consistently found high pricing on mattresses being sold with orthopaedic properties. Following this research I chaired a meeting with the Comfy Living Directors and also the Directors from our supplier, laying out a structured price plan to offer the new mattresses at the most competitive price in the UK. The results were astonishing"

For a standard 4ft 6inch double orthopaedic mattress being sold at a store with a household name, the average price is £279.99.

For a standard 4ft 6inch double orthopaedic mattress being sold online at Comfy Living, the price is a inflation-busting £59.99.

Free delivery is also included in this price, for all mattresses, beds, futons and bedroom furnishings anywhere mainland UK, with 99% of the deliveries carried out the next working day.

For further sizes available of the new range of exclusive orthapaedic mattresses, look no further than the Somerset based beds and mattress specialist Comfy Living.
